Monroe Sports Center is the proud founder of the MSC Hawks. The MSC Hawks is a developmental basketball program. MSC Hawks teams will be coached by experienced basketball coaches (not parents).  Once a player is selected to a MSC Hawks team, that player can continue to renew their spot on the team each season.  It is our goal to keep teams together for years so they can grow and improve as a team.  The MSC coaches will attempt to evenly distribute the talent across all teams within each age group, but due to the fact that certain teams will have more returning players, not all MSC Hawks teams in each age group are guaranteed to be at the same level. 

 
Summer 2020 Season
The Spring basketball season has been combined with the Summer season and all Summer MSC Hawks & NJ Falcons teams will be formed by Tuesday June 23. NEW PLAYERS MAY STILL REGISTER FOR MSC HAWKS OR NJ FALCONS TEAMS FOR THIS UPCOMING SEASON.  Any player that had already paid the full Spring MSC Hawks or NJ Falcons team fee or the Evaluation fee but does not want to play this season will receive a full credit that can be used towards the Fall season or anything else at MSC/CJB. There will be no Evaluation Day this season for the MSC Hawks or NJ Falcons so any player who had previously paid the $20 Evaluation Fee will be credited the $20 and then the balance of the team fee must be paid in full in order to be placed on a team.  All players who are registered for an MSC Hawks or NJ Falcons team will be sent an email form to fill out with scheduling and teammate requests that is due by Sun June 21.  MSC Hawks & NJ Falcons practices will start the week of June 29 and league games will start the week of July 6.

The MSC coaching staff will place every player at the Evaluation onto a MSC Hawks team!

MSC Hawks General Information:

  • Evaluations are held four times a year: September, November, March, June
  • Evaluations in September are for teams that will play from September-November (Fall Season)
  • Evaluations in November are for teams that will play from November-March (Winter Season)
  • Evaluations in March are for teams that will play from March-June (Spring Season)
  • Evaluations  in June are for teams that will play from June-August (Summer Season)
  • In order to accept your selection at Evaluation Day, you must register and pay in full before you leave
  • We do accept scheduling and teammate requests - however it is not 100% guaranteed that all requests be met
  • MSC Hawks teams will practice approximately the same day and time each week

MSC Hawks Season Details:

  • 8 games in MJBL (plus playoffs if qualify)
  • 8 practices (approximately once a week)
  • 1 Tournament
  • MSC Hawks Uniform (Reversible jersey and shorts)
  • MSC Coach - NO parent coaches

MSC Hawks Pricing:

Team Fee: $295 per player including uniform, $245 for returning players  

The $245 is if a player does not need a new uniform. If a player needs a pair of shorts, the fee is $25. If a player needs a reversible jersey, the fee is $25. If a player needs both items, the fee is $50. Players are NOT allowed to exchange their old, used uniform for a new one. 

Evaluation Fee: $20 in advance, $35 day of

The Evaluation Fee is NOT applied towards the $295 MSC Hawks Team Fee
