Fitness Classes

As personal trainers for over 17 years, Joe and Christine Zita are health and fitness professionals who perform individualized assessments and design safe, effective and individualized exercise and conditioning programs, which are scientifically valid and based on clinical evidence.

Christine and Joe Zita specialize in developing fitter bodies and creating more physical energy for busy professionals and business owners, between the ages of 25 and 80, in the comfort of their own home or office in Monmouth and Mercer County since 1995.

Christine and Joe are also available for fitness and stretching clinics and speeches for your sports team or your organization.
 
 

Community Outreach

Joe is the founder of Stretch for Faith, a five minute stretching session at local churches before Sunday worship services to relax and allow the congregation to become more connected with the service, their community and their total self.
 
Joe is frequently requested by Nordstroms to present at various storewide sales to share his expertise on health and well-being.
 
Christine and Joe have been Volunteers for the ARC of Monmouth for more than 15 years. They have a passion for developing exercise classes and leading fundraising walk-a-thons for the developmentally disabled.
 
Joe and Christine are the only individual company in the state of NJ that is approved by N.J. State Department of Human Services, N.J. State Division of Developmental Disabilities through the REAL LIFE CHOICES PROGRAM (more information below).

Zumba

Fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away.

Schedule:

Tuesdays: 9:30-10:30am

Thursdays: 10:00-11:00am

Fridays: 9:30-10:30am

 

Mat Pilates

Build strength and improve flexibility.  Pilates Mat is a series of movements that engage both your body and mind to increase a balanced body, balanced legs, a flat stomach and a strong back.  In just 10 sessions, you will feel a difference.

Schedule:

Tuesdays: 9:00-10:00am

Thurdays: 9:00-10:00am

  

Cardio Fusion

Cardio Fusion is a class that will combine the elements of the most fun cardio classes out there for a comprehensive, heart pounding workout!  WE will use the workout principles of dance, kickboxing and calisthenics to get a truly sweaty cardio workout.  Cardio Fusion will help you to burn calories, get your heart rate up for improved cardio vascular functioning, improve your energy, stamina, balance and flexibility, tone your body and get you feeling great!

Schedule:

Mondays: 9:30-10:30am

 

Zumba Gold

This course is designed for the active adult population or the true beginner (deconditioned) participant. Zumba Gold addresses the anatomical, physiological, and psychological needs specific to these populations. It also includes a Zumba chair workout.  Zumba Gold instructors specifically are prepared to teach the active older adult.

 

Real Life Choices

STATE APPROVED TRAINERS.  Unique opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to experience group slow-with-the-flow fitness activities as well as sharing a social and friendly environment that is proven to yield great results.  Speak to Joe to see if you qualify for state support. 

 

Moms & Kids Class, 3-5 year olds

This class is designed for your young child to participate in independently.  Children will participate in stretching routines, obstacle course work and more physically challenging games and activities, such as sports based skills and tumbling skills.  This class will provide a structured and stimulating environment for your Pre-K child to thrive in!

 

20/20/20

This class combines 20 min STEP to increase cardio fitness, 20 min BODY CONDITIONING using light weights to tone and condition upper body muscles and 20 min CORE STABILITY which improves posture, coordination and balance. 

 

Kickboxing

Cardio Kickboxing is aerobic exercise with a martial arts flare of kicks, punches and footwork.  This program will help you to lose weight, tone up your muscles and have fun.  Beginner, intermediate and advanced students are welcome.

 

YogaSport

With YogaSport, we teach yoga to people who want to add fun, discipline and athleticism to their lives.  YogaSport offers more than the familiar poses and breathing techniques; it offers a way to face life with a renewed personal strength and helps to improve the quality of your life, both on and off the matt.

 

Senior Strength/Ball/Balance

Strengthen your core and increase your balance while having fun with the exercise ball.  It is an excellent class to improve your fitness level while adding some variety to your workout.  You'll have a ball!

 

Senior 20/20/20

This class is structured for active senior adults, combinin 20 min STEP to increase cardio fitness, 20 min BODY CONDITIONING using light weights to tone and condition upper body muscles and 20 min CORE STABILITY which improves posture, co-ordination and balance. 

 

Senior Sculpt

Designed for seniors to tone and strengthen all of the major muscle groups by using a variety of exercise equipment 

 

Senior Yoga

A gentle, yet energizing program of yoga exercises and breathing, designed for seniors, MS sufferers or anyone who wants to work on flexibility and strength, without standing or sitting on the floor for long periods.  Class can be done seated in chairs.
