10 and Under Tennis

Monroe Sports Center is one of the first facilities in NJ to introduce 10 and Under Tennis governed by the USTA.  10 and Under Tennis using the QuickStart Tennis Play format takes a new and better approach to introducing kids to the game.  Balls are lower in compression; they bounce lower and don't move as fast so they are easier to hit.  This allows kids time to get to the ball and helps them develop optimal swing patterns.  Racquets are sized for small hands, and the courts are smaller and easier to cover.  All that equals more fun and less frustration, allowing children to start rallying and playing points immediately.

QuickStart 1 Ages 4-7 Years Old:  9am-10am

This clinic will develop motor, racquet and playing skills through fun-filled activities and games.  Children will play on a 36' court using oversized low compression tennis balls.  There will be 5:1 student:pro ratio.

QuickStart 2 Ages 8-10 Years Old: 10am-11am

The focus will be on developing reliable ground strokes, volleys and serves as well as consistency, movement and ball control.  Players in this clinic play on a 60' court using low compression QuickStart Tennis Balls.  There will be 5:1 student:pro ratio.

QuickStart 3 Match Play: 11:00am - 12:00pm

This camp will focus on modified "match play" for those students who are ready to take it to next level. Coaching will be provided to all students during live action. This program will assit  our Quickstart students for future Davis Cup try-outs and competitions.

Price:  $99 per week

Daily Rate: $25 per day
