Tournament Format

  • All team matches will consist of 3-5 individual matches, depending on the number of players on each team
  • Each individual match will be 8 games, no-ad scoring (7 point tiebreaker played at 4-4)
  • Players will be matched up against other players at the same ability.
  • Each team guaranteed at least 3 matches
  • Maximum 16 teams per age division.
  • Each age group will be broken down into pools.  Each team will play the other teams in their pool, then the pool winners will play for the championship.
  • Each division is expected to take around 4-6 hours to complete.  The start times will be posted in advance the week prior to the tournament.  Within that 4-6 hour time block, the pool play and championship rounds will be completed.
  • Championship teams at each age group will receive medals
  • Players must register individually, but may request teammates.
  • Teams will consist of anywhere beween 6-10 players.  Tournament director Sean Tavel will make the teams in order to balance the teams as much as possible.
  • Each team match will take place over multiple rounds so individual players may play more than once in each team match.  For example, if a team match is scheduled to begin at 10am, the first round may consist of Boys Singles and Girls Doubles.  when those matches finish, the next round - starting around 10:40am - may consist of Girls Singles and Boys Doubles.  Depending on the number of players on the team, the same players may play in both rounds.
