Basketball Spectator Rules at All Locations

(Jan 7) MSC is very happy to be able to run our basketball leagues this winter. Click Here for a full list of COVID safety measures at MSC. In addition to those protocols, MSC is implementing the following rules for spectators. These policies are for the safety of all players, coaches, parents and staff so we ask that everyone please comply. MSC will have staff enforcing these policies as well, but if everyone takes responsibility for their own actions this season should run very smoothly.

1. Monroe Sports Center:

  • No spectators are allowed on the gym floor, but a maximum of 1 spectator per player may watch from the mezzanine.  The maximum of ONE spectator per player in attendance will be strictly enforced and the responsibility of each team's coach to ensure this is complied with.  Violations of this policy will result in ZERO spectators being permitted for this team for the rest of the season.  Livestreaming of all games at MSC will be provided FREE so families can enjoy the games. Links to the livestreaming are posted on MSC's Facebook and Instagram pages.
  • All players and the 1 spectator are to remain in their vehicles until previous game has ended and those players/coaches/spectators have left the gym.  Please view the livestream to know when the court is clear or designate one coach/parent to watch the livestream and form a team text to immediately notify everyone.
  • There is to be NO CONGREGATING in the front lobby, main lobby or party room area at MSC at anytime.  Everyone, including coaches, MUST wait outside the building until it is time for your team to enter the court.  If the MSC staff sees anyone hanging around the lobby, they will be asked to wait outside until the court is clear.

2.  St Joseph HS, Red Bank Salvation Army, Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church

  • A maximum of 1 spectator per player may watch the game from the bleachers at St Joe's.  The maximum of ONE spectator per player in attendance will be strictly enforced and the responsibility of each team's coach to ensure this is complied with.  Violations of this policy will result in ZERO spectators being permitted for this team for the rest of the season.  We suggest that 1 parent from each team livestream the game from their phone.
  • All players and the 1 spectator are to remain in their vehicles until you visibly see the previous game's players exiting the facility and are clear of the entrance.
  • There is to be NO CONGREGATING indoors at any common areas before or after games. Any post game team talks need to be outside the building.

3.  Academy Charter, Avenel Presbyterian Church, St Denis, Pillar of Fire Church

  • Because of the limited space inside the gym area, NO spectators are allowed in the gym at these locations.  A maximum of 3 coaches, 1 videographer and 1 scorekeeper are allowed on or around the bench. This spectator policy will be strictly enforced and the responsibility of each team's coach to ensure this is complied with.  Violations of this policy will result in ZERO spectators being permitted for this team for the rest of the season at all locations.
