Harry Perretta, Villanova Women's Head Basketball Coach

Now in his 32nd year as head coach of the Villanova Women's Basketball Program, Harry Perretta has established himself as one of the most respected and knowledgeable coaches in the country.  A true teacher both on and off the court, Perretta strives to have a positive influence on his student-athletes not only as basketball players, but also as people.  In his 32-year Villanova career, Paretta has tallied a career record of 572-343.  His 572 wins place him 21s on the winningest active collegiate coaching list, and ranks him as the all-time winningest coach in the history of Villanova basketball for both men and women.  Since the beginning of the 2000-01 season, Perretta has compiled an impressive 164-98 record.

 

Mike Rice, Rutgers Men's Head Basketball Coach

Mike Rice, who compiled a 73-31 (.702) record as head coach at Robert Morris University en route to three consecutive post-season appearances and a pair of NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament berths, was named the head Men's Basketball Coach at Rutgers on May 6, 2010.  Rice directed Robert Morris to first place regular season finishes in each of his 3 seasons (2007-08 thru 2009-10) and captured back-to-back Northeast Conference Tournament championships in 2009 and 2010.  He was named the NBC District Coach of the Year, as well as NEC Coach of the Year, in both 2008 and 2009.

 

Andrew Toole, Robert Morris Men's Head Basketball Coach

Andrew Toole was named the head coach of the Robert Morris Men's Basektball Program on May 11, 2010.  Toole, who has helped guide the Colonials to 3 straight postseason appearance as an assistant coach, is the eighth head coach in the 34-year history of the RMU program.  At 29yrs old, Toole becomes the youngest active head coach in NCAA Division 1 level.  A native of Red Bank, NJ, he has spent the past 2 seasons as associate head coach at RMU after spending the 2007-08 campaign as an assistant coach with the Colonials.  Over the last 3 seasons with Toole as the program's top assistant, Robert Morris has posted an overall record of 73-31, including a mark of 46-8 (.852) in the Northeast Conference.

Phil Martelli, St Joe's Men's Head Basketball Coach

In 15 seasons as St Joseph's University head coach, Phil Martelli has built a program that is consistently one of the top in the conference, a perennial post-season participant and a key player on the national scene, while earning his place among the top coaches in the school's storied history.  His 15-year career mark stands at 289-187, which ranks him fifth in career winning percentage (.625) among SJU coaches.  Setting the school record for wins in a season (30) in 2004, Martelli has guided SJU to 20 or more victories 6 times in 15 seasons.  He is 146-94 in Atlantic 10 play, which is the most conference wins for any active coach in the A-10.

 

Fran Dunphy, Temple Men's Head Basketball Coach

Fran Dunphy, one of the all-time winningest coaches in Philadelphia Big 5 history, has left his imprint on the Temple Men's Basketball Team in just three years at the helm.  After taking over the reins from Hall of Fame coach John Chaney on April 10, 2006, Dunphy brought the Owls back the the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2001 in just his second season when he guided the team to the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship.  The following year he again led the Owls to the A-10 title, becoming the first A-10 team to win consecutive conference championships since 2001.  Before replacing Chaney at Temple, Fran Dunphy was the head coach at the University of Pennsylvania for 17 years, accumulating 310 wins and 9 NCAA Tournament bids.
